Boy: Here is our shopping list. We have to buy some bread, carrots, potatoes and a book for Chris. I’ll go to the greengrocer’s and the bakery and you go to the bookshop, OK?
Girl: No way! I am not buying a book for Chris without you. What if I choose one he doesn’t like?
Boy: Well, we haven’t got enough time to go to the bookshop together.
Girl: OK, so here is the plan. You go and choose the book and I’ll get the bread. Then I’ll wait for you at the greengrocer’s.
Boy: OK, then we can carry everything home together.
Tekst 2.
Boy: Are you ready for Aunt Emily’s wedding?
Girl: Almost, I’ve bought a beautiful evening dress. Look.
Boy: Wow, it’s truly amazing.
Girl: I only have to buy a little black bag to go with the dress.
Boy: What about shoes?
Girl: Well, I’ll wear the pair Aunt Emily gave me for my last birthday.
Tekst 3.
Man: When I talked to our players before the championships, they seemed quite optimistic. I guess they weren’t really surprised by their easy victory in the final. What are they going to say about their historic win? I’m standing with a crowd of fans waiting for our champions to land. As you can hear, people are cheering and singing. Everybody is ready to welcome our team right here in the arrivals hall after their long flight. I’ll be back in a few minutes. Now over to you, Jack, for more sports news.
Tekst 4.
Girl: Grandpa, it’s me, Lisa. You won’t believe it, but a few hours ago I found a kitten in the park! He looked hungry. I took him home, gave him some food and now he is sleeping under my bed. My parents don’t know anything about the kitten yet and I haven’t spoken to anybody else. Please don’t tell anyone. I’ll call you later.
Tekst 5.
Boy: Let’s play a game. I’ll talk about someone and you have to guess who it is.
Girl: OK, I’m ready.
Boy: So, this person’s favourite book is Anne of Green Gables and I think she is just like Anne in the novel: intelligent, imaginative and she always says what she thinks. I really like spending time with her. We even sit together in our English class. Recently, she joined a theatre club and I think she may become a professional actress.
Girl: I think I know who she is.
Zadanie 2.
0 – 4 pktBoy: The teacher entered the classroom with a very serious face and gave each of us a page with 20 test questions. She explained we had to read all the questions first before we started answering them. But the test questions were so easy that I started writing my answers while reading. When I got to the last one, I saw the words “Don’t answer any of the questions. Just write your name.” And then my teacher said with a smile, “It’s April Fool’s Day today.”
Wypowiedź 2.
Girl: The day before April Fool’s Day, my friend and I got some pieces of paper and wrote “WET PAINT – PLEASE DON’T TOUCH” on them. The next day we put the pieces of paper on some of the desks in our classroom and on the teacher’s desk, too. We had so much fun watching our classmates who tried not to touch their desks. But our teacher, Miss Frisk, immediately knew it was a joke.
Wypowiedź 3.
Boy: In our history classroom there are many posters of kings and queens on the walls. On the day before April Fool’s Day we replaced the faces of the kings and queens with photos of famous actors and actresses. The biggest poster was of King Henry VIII. We put a photo of our teacher’s face on it. Then during the lesson we asked our teacher why he looked so similar to King Henry. Our teacher joked that the king was his great-great-grandfather.
Wypowiedź 4.
Girl: On the first of April, our class decided to switch classrooms for the first lesson with another class. When their teacher walked in, she was surprised to see us instead of her students. She went out to check if she had gone into the right classroom. Then she came back in and found us all laughing.

TOP SHELF: This is a good place to keep foods that don’t need much cooling: ready meals, fruit salads.
BOTTOM SHELF: This is the coldest part of the fridge, so put milk here. Also, orange juice, especially if it’s freshly squeezed, should be kept on this shelf.
DRAWERS: This part of the fridge is perfect for fruit and vegetables. They’ll keep longest unwashed and in their original packaging. It’s good to keep fruit and vegetables in separate drawers.

Lilly, I know how you feel. I had a similar problem. My sister invites her friends to our house a lot. I noticed that they often came into my room and used my things without asking. I asked my mum to talk to her, and she did. My sister said she was sorry and promised to keep her guests away from my room. Everything is fine now!
Why don’t you do the same?
Amy
Jim, Next week I’m taking part in a bike race. The organizers are collecting money for children in the local hospital. Would you like to join me? See you! Kelly

0 – 3 pktTHE PAINTER AND THE THIEF
Thomas Gainsborough, one of England’s most famous 18th-century painters, came from Suffolk. He was the youngest son of John and Mary Gainsborough. His father was a salesman who travelled a lot on business. Tom’s mother was a housewife. In her free time she loved painting pictures of plants. [8.1.] First he learnt to draw apples, pears and other fruits.
When Tom was a bit older, he often walked around the neighbourhood with a sketchbook in his bag. [8.2.] Tom hid behind a tree, took out a pencil and drew the man’s face. Then he quickly ran home to tell his parents about what had happened. Tom’s father immediately took Tom to the village watchman.
The boy’s picture was so good that it didn’t take much time to catch the thief. [8.3.] But when he saw Tom’s picture he was so shocked that he said: “That’s me! I stole the fruit.” Tom’s father was very proud of his son.

0 – 4 pktHISTORY PODCASTS YOU’LL LOVE
This podcast is presented by a history teacher who tells amusing stories about the past. Even when he talks about dramatic battles, important coronations and dangerous journeys, he will always find some little-known details which will bring a smile to your face. Although it’s not a music podcast, there’s a song in each episode so children will easily remember what the podcast was about. In the final part of the podcast there is a quiz which allows listeners to check what they have learned.
Every episode explores the history of just one thing, for example the sandwich, the video game or the clock. The podcast teaches listeners to think critically about the past. You’ll discover that all everyday objects have stories to tell. In each episode, a child guest invited to the studio asks questions and the podcast presenter answers them.
In each episode, Neil MacGregor presents a different object from the huge collection of the British Museum. He worked at the museum for many years and is the best person for the job. He talks about the people who made and used each object. Some objects that Neil talks about are damaged or not complete. However, all of their stories are fascinating.

0 – 3 pktI just love the mystery gift box idea. It’s such fun getting lots of surprising things. Some time ago I bought a mystery gift box for my mum. I can’t wait to order a mystery gift box for my sister next month!

6. Decorate them with colourful stickers.
7. Your gift is ready! Your mum can use the stones in her garden to mark where seeds or plants are growing.
[luka 10.1].
A jeśli chcesz, możesz też sama zrobić prezent dla mamy. Co sądzisz o ręcznie zdobionych kamykach do oznaczenia roślin w ogrodzie? Z instrukcji, którą zobaczyłem w internecie, wynika, że to nic trudnego. Wystarczy, że znajdziesz płaskie kamienie. Potem musisz 10.2. [luka 10.2] i odczekać godzinę. Następnie malujesz je na biało przynajmniej 10.3. [luka 10.3].
A, i najważniejsze!

Hi everybody, I think I have a great idea. Just yesterday I finished reading The Time Machine by HG Wells. It is about a machine which was designed to transport its passengers through time. Of course I’m not 12.1. to build a similar one, but I found on the internet that there is a Pretend To Be A Time Traveller Day.

📋 Arkusz Samooceny Wypowiedzi Pisemnej (Oficjalne Kryteria CKE)
Hi everybody,
I’m so proud! My class made a film about the Sports Day at our school last week.
We decided to record this video because we wanted to capture all the happy moments and show how active our students are. It is a great souvenir for everyone.
Unfortunately, we had a serious problem while filming. Our video camera suddenly broke down in the middle of the event! We were very stressed, but luckily, my friend Adam lent us his new smartphone, so we could finish the project.
You can watch our film below. Please watch it and leave a comment below to tell us what you think.
